Step 2
We schedule your $1 on-site technology assessment at your convenience, which will take approximately half hour to one hour depending on your network infrastructure and design. Book your $1 Tech Systems Audit + Custom Fix-It Blueprint today and let our IT Support Greensboro NC experts uncover what’s lurking behind your network.
Step 3
Our consultant will come on site at the prearranged time to work with the manager or designated person to complete the assessment. We will view all aspects of your technology network such as server, workstations, network, equipment, firewall, data, backup, security subscription status, version updates, and numerous other things. If this is a Healthcare practice, we will need to sign a Business Associate Agreement for your practice to stay in compliance. If you are auditing your existing IT support, we will be very discreet and anonymous. Call us to experience the discreet professionalism and deep insights our IT Support Greensboro NC team brings to every healthcare tech audit.
Step 4
We will notify management of any critical issues or problems that we identified that will need to be addressed immediately and offer a problem resolution proposal.

Step 5
We will type up a summary report that is color-coded of all our findings and schedule another 15 minute meeting to go over our results and recommendations. Our color coding is three colors: green, yellow and red. Green means that item is satisfactory or in compliance. Yellow means it should be on the radar to be addressed soon. Red is for critical items that need to be resolved immediately. Examples of items that will be red are data backups not working correctly or backing up critical data, network failures, expired security subscriptions for antivirus, intrusion detection system, or firewall. Want to hear how others handled critical red-level issues? Go to our testimonials page to see how our IT Support Greensboro NC resolved theirs. Anything that could potentially cause a complete shut down of your network and/or access to your critical client or patient data will be marked in red as critical.
Step 6
We will provide you a problem resolution proposal, usually with multiple options that you can choose from and we help you develop a game plan and time frame for the items in yellow that should be on your radar.
You will be able to take our technology assessment to anyone else you choose to help with problem resolutions or you can choose to utilize our services and expertise for your problem resolutions. Regardless of who you choose, you are well informed with the exact complete status of all of your technology! Read our Google reviews and see how our IT Support Greensboro NC services consistently turn chaos into calm.
Here are some actual examples of what we found from our initial site surveys and Technology
Assessments:
From a Dental Practice in Danville, VA
RED – Critical Issues
1) Fan Alerts on both of the backbone switches – Fan failure on Netgear 48 port Switch + Fan failure on Dell PoE Switch. Teresa both failed fans on the side of switches. If a unit overheats, it will take down the entire network infrastructure and all workstations until the unit is replaced.
2) Battery failing on UPS Battery Backup on Server and Network Rack – any power outage or flicker will take the entire network down. Showed Teresa and she has already resolved w/ a local battery Here are a few other things that need to be verified (unable to obtain info to verify either because of time constraints or no access from current IT):
Yellow – On The Radar
1) Dentrix / Imaging Backup seems to be only cloud based and no way for the office to verify. I have found numerous offices paying monthly fees for cloud backup services and one of them had not had a successful backup in over one year. Another one was not backing up the correct Dentrix/Eaglesoft database files.
2) Sonciwall TZ300 Firewall Unit – Need to verify security update subscription and enable Threat Protection Features by logging into the unit. This unit has a standard throughput speed, but if Threat Protection Features are turned on, which should be, it slows the speed down to ¼ the standard speed, which would decrease your internet speeds.

RED – Critical Issues
1) The cabling backbone is CAT 5, which is 1/10th the speed of GB Ethernet and unable to reach the potential speeds of a normal GB Switch for the backbone of the network and does not meet minimum 3D Imaging requirements. It needs to be CAT5e or CAT6. Any certified cabling company will run CAT6 currently.
2) The entire network backbone infrastructure (Switch, Firewall, Internet Modem, etc) is located so close to the water heater and pipes. If any of these pipes burst, they can easily spray onto all of the network equipment, which in turn, will take the entire network down until equipment is replaced. This actually happened last year to a client in NC that I had just been brought into. A water pipe burst and sprayed across the room onto equipment and flooded the entire office because it was at night from a cold spell and they didn’t find it until the next morning.
Below is an actual sample of the first 7 items from a client:
# |
System |
Item |
Satisfactory or Requires Attention |
1 |
Infrastructure |
Server |
Windows Server Operating System is set up as a WORKGROUP instead of a DOMAIN with no centralized management / security. Server Windows OS is 2012, over 5 years old, out of warranty, and past End Of Life with no security updates available. |
2 |
Infrastructure |
Server |
No Redundancy of Hard Drives and Power Supplies. The parts that fail the most are the moving parts – Hard Drives and Power Supplies. If one of these fails in your current server, the entire network will be down until part is replaced and software reloaded. |
3 |
Infrastructure |
Switches |
Network Switches are Gigabit or greater speeds, but need to be combined into 1 single Switch to eliminate bottlenecks. |
4 |
Infrastructure |
Cabling |
Satisfactory CAT5e or CAT6 Cabling implemented with proper termination into a Patch Panel and/or jack |
5 |
Infrastructure |
Power Management |
Adequate Power Management installed – Proper sized UPS on server |
6 |
Security – Virus/Malware |
Virus Protection |
Only Server has Anti-Virus software. None on Workstations. |
7 |
Security – Virus/Malware |
Malware Protection |
Workstations only have basic free Anti-Malware protection from Malwarebytes that is unsupported by Eaglesoft and known to cause performance issues. |
